In these conditions, high flow rates and severe erosion can quickly compromise conventional cutoff drain valves-even venturi valves-but not the SNT valve.
The SNT drain valve revolutionizes conventional internal structure design. By employing a streamlined flow channel between the valve core and cylindrical seat, this design accelerates fluid until it reaches the downstream valve seat, where the chamber's sudden expansion induces a significant pressure drop. This causes the fluid to rapidly expand towards the flow center, efficiently dissipating energy, evaporating, and entering a turbulent state. This sophisticated discharge process ensures that the fluid can transition to steam when supersaturated, whilst also cooling any remaining liquid-a brilliant demonstration of utilizing flash evaporation in liquid flow systems.
To cater to diverse device requirements, we manufacture valves across the pressure spectrum from ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500. Our standard stop valve sizes include 3/4" (DN20), 1" (DN25), 1.1/2" (DN40), 2" (DN50), 2-1/2" (DN65), and 3" (DN80). SNT valves are typically designed with an angular connection to facilitate uniform fluid flow. However, through-way type stop valves are available as well. Depending on your control needs, they can be manually operated or automated via pneumatic or electric systems. For precision throttling control, our flow evaluations leverage advanced computational fluid dynamics via the Fluent-Code. This simulation analyzes the flow channel and pressure drop within the SNT internal-design structure. To combat abrasion and corrosion from high pressures and flow rates, all SNT internals are surface-hardened with premium Co-Ni based alloys or Cr-N ceramic coatings.

As shown in the figure on the left, according to ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping, intermittent drain valves are usually employed in Zone 2, boasting seamless integration when directly installed in boiler or boiler piping. Also featured are continuous drain valves, traps, and safety valves, each contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of your system.
In accordance with §122.1.4 of ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping, the piping is expertly equipped with 2 valves in series, featuring a Y-type intermittent drain valve and a highly reliable emergency stop valve for maximum safety and performance.
The intermittent drain valve incorporates a lever type rapid discharge mechanism, enabling swift opening and closing, ensuring operational efficiency. When activated, the valve quickly expels sediment, dirt, and other particles from the boiler's base in less than 3 seconds, minimizing water wastage and optimizing resource conservation.
