The 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators are engineered with precision, featuring cold-drawn hydraulic pipes as their cylinder bodies that transform durability and performance. Through meticulous honing and extrusion, these actuators minimize wear, significantly enhancing the longevity of dynamic sealing elements. Compared to membrane-type actuators of the same specifications, they deliver superior thrust. Their refined structure, lightweight design, and compact dimensions make them the epitome of high-performance pneumatic linear stroke actuators.
Available in both double-acting and single-acting configurations, the 1-X400 series actuators seamlessly integrate with linear stroke valves for precise regulation or on-off control. For rapid cutoffs, the actuators come equipped with essential accessories such as pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and more, enabling impressive cutoff times of 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S, offering versatility across various operational levels.
DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
Our state-of-the-art lightweight pneumatic piston actuator operates efficiently at a rated supply pressure of 8 bar, which is also the threshold for the tightness of the sliding seals of the piston. Although, for your peace of mind, each actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at 10.5 bar before it is dispatched. The temperature range suitable for continuous operation at 8 bar is elegantly detailed in our materials table.
ACTUATOR BODY
The cylindrical body is expertly crafted from a precision steel tube, ensuring top-tier quality and durability.
Its interior is meticulously lapped, chromium-plated, and polished to a fine sheen, ensuring smooth operation and longevity.
The two ends are skillfully cast from aluminum or steel, available in various shapes to seamlessly adapt to your assembly needs on valves or specific operations.
Easily integrate with a fork on the upper or lower head for pivoting assemblies, ideal for efficiently actuating butterfly valves.
Additionally, a flange option is available for secure, stable assembly on valve yokes, enhancing performance. This is particularly advantageous for actuating globe or angle valves with precision.
PISTON
Our piston, crafted from high-strength steel, is fitted with one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) robust rubber sealing rings. It features two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) loaded-Teflon guiding skid, ensuring reliable performance and minimal friction.
STEM
The stem is a marvel of engineering, precisely machined from stainless steel, then expertly ground, rolled, and threaded at the external end. It connects seamlessly with the valve stem via a robust two-piece, bored and threaded block, securely clamping the screwed ends of both stems.
Guided by a dual bronze bushing housed in the lower head, the stem is also equipped with a felt ring to maintain cleanliness and a sealing ring (an exception applies to S.A. direct-acting actuators) to effectively prevent any leakage, ensuring optimal performance.
