Their simple structure and lightweight, compact design encapsulate high-performance efficiency, making them an ideal choice for superior pneumatic linear stroke applications.
The versatile 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators are available in both double-acting and single-acting models. Perfectly pairing with linear stroke valves, they excel in regulation and on-off control. Outfitted with essential accessories like pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and innovative pneumatic actuators, they enable rapid cutoffs with precision timing options of 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S, offering a range of responsive levels.
DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
The 8 bar rating defines both the standard supply pressure of the cylinder and the threshold for the piston's sliding seal integrity. All actuators undergo rigorous hydrostatic testing at a pressure of 10.5 bar prior to dispatch. For continuous operation at 8 bar, the permissible temperature limits can be found in the materials table provided.
ACTUATOR BODY
The cylinder is meticulously crafted from a precision steel tube.
Its interior surface is expertly lapped, chromium-plated, and polished for optimal performance.
The two heads are made from either aluminum or steel castings and are offered in various configurations to cater to specific assembly requirements on valves or operational needs.
Adaptable with a fork on the upper or lower head for pivoting assemblies, ideal for actuating butterfly valves,
or equipped with a flange for secure attachment on valve yokes, suitable for controlling globe or angle valves effectively.
PISTON
The piston, constructed from high-strength steel, features one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) rubber sealing rings and two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) loaded-Teflon guiding skids for enhanced durability and performance.
STEM
The stem is precision-engineered from a stainless steel rod, ground, rolled, and threaded at the exposed end. It connects to the valve stem through a two-piece, precisely bored and threaded block that secures the screwed ends of both stems.
Guidance for the stem is provided by a dual bronze bushing installed in the lower head, which also includes a felt ring for stem wiping and a sealing ring (with the exception of S.A. direct-acting actuators) to prevent leakage, ensuring reliable operation.
