The SNT drain valve reimagines conventional internal structure design with ingenuity. Its flow channel, ingeniously sculpted between the valve core and cylindrical valve seat, features a smooth trajectory that accelerates fluid flow until it reaches the downstream of the valve seat. Here, the chamber's abrupt expansion induces a pressure drop at the flow channel's center, catalyzing the fluid's rapid expansion towards the flow center. Simultaneously, the fluid's energy dissipates swiftly, ushering it into a turbulent state. This highly efficient discharge process empowers the fluid to transform into steam when supersaturated, while simultaneously cooling any remaining liquid-a sophisticated application of flash evaporation in liquid flow.

As shown in the figure on the left, according to the prestigious ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping standards, intermittent drain valves are commonly employed in Zone 2, being integrated directly within the boiler or associated boiler piping. Adding to the versatility, there are also continuous drain valves, traps, safety valves, and more, ensuring comprehensive system safety.
In accordance with §122.1.4 of ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping, the piping typically incorporates a series of 2 valves: one is a Y-type intermittent drain valve and the other is an emergency stop valve, ensuring operational reliability.

The intermittent drain valve is designed with a lever-type rapid discharge mechanism, facilitating swift opening and closure for efficiency. When the valve is actuated, sediments, dirt, and other particulates collected at the base of the boiler are expelled swiftly, usually within 3 seconds. Exceeding this duration might result in excessive boiler water loss, leading to resource inefficiency. The flow channel closely resembles a straight pipeline for optimal discharge.

The emergency stop valve is crucial for ensuring an absolute pipeline cut-off, thereby conserving resources in the event of a malfunction of the preceding intermittent drain valve, upholding system integrity and environmental responsibility.
