The SNT drain valve revolutionizes traditional internal structure designs. The streamlined flow channel between the valve core and cylindrical valve seat accelerates fluid dynamics, leading to a sudden expansion chamber downstream. This strategic pressure drop causes rapid fluid expansion towards the flow center. As energy disperses swiftly, the fluid transforms into a turbulent state. This ingeniously efficient discharge process facilitates steam formation from supersaturated fluids, effectively cooling the remaining liquid-a quintessential application of flash evaporation in liquid flow systems.
To cater to diverse operational demands, we manufacture valves spanning the pressure spectrum from ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500. Our standard stop valve sizes include 3/4" (DN20), 1" (DN25), 1.1/2" (DN40), 2" (DN50), 2-1/2" (DN65), and 3" (DN80). SNT valves are predominantly designed with an angular connection to ensure a uniform fluid flow. Nonetheless, through-way type stop valves are also available. Depending on operational control needs, options include manual, pneumatic, and electric controls. For precision throttling, the SNT's internally optimized structure is analyzed using the advanced Fluent-Code of Computational Fluid Dynamics. This simulation ensures accurate flow channel and pressure drop evaluations. To combat abrasion and corrosion due to high pressures and flow rates, all SNT valve internals are surface-hardened with premium Co-Ni based alloys or treated with state-of-the-art Cr-N ceramic coatings. Additionally, continuous drain valves, traps, and safety valves play crucial roles in system safety and efficiency.
In alignment with §122.1.4 of ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping, the piping system is optimally equipped with a series of 2 valves: a Y-type intermittent drain valve, coupled with an emergency stop valve for enhanced safety.
The intermittent drain valve incorporates a lever-type rapid discharge mechanism, facilitating swift, efficient opening and closing for optimal performance. Upon activation, the valve expels sediment, dirt, and other particulates from the boiler's base within a rapid 3-second timeframe, preventing excessive water loss and conserving resources. The flow channel is designed to resemble a straight pipeline for maximum efficiency.
The emergency stop valve ensures a precise cut-off in the pipeline, safeguarding resources should the prior intermittent drain valve encounter a malfunction, offering a reliable backup.
