Following a meticulous throttling process through the valve seat and spool, the medium is further directed via a pressure tube (or condenser in steam applications) to the actuator. Here it exerts force upon the diaphragm, prompting a precise displacement of the spool. This seamless operation effectively accomplishes pressure reduction and stabilization. In scenarios where the post-valve pressure escalates, the diaphragm experiences increased force, compressing the spring and actuating the spool to reduce valve opening until equilibrium at the desired set pressure is restored.
