The 1-X400 series versatility shines through with both double-acting and single-acting configurations. Seamlessly pair these actuators with linear stroke valves for precise regulation or dependable on-off control. When complemented by essential accessories such as pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and the pneumatic actuators themselves, they deliver swift, efficient cutoffs with precision timings available at 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S, among other customizable levels.</sup>

Our Single-action (S.A.) actuators ingeniously feature a spring-opposed piston, propelled by air pressure, offering an elegant solution for fail-safe action. Should air pressure deplete, the compressed spring effortlessly takes charge, maneuvering the stem to reliably open or close the valve port, in accordance with the necessary fail-safe action, ensuring unwavering stability even as the load on the plug fluctuates.

 

 

 

However, in comparison with their double-action (D.A.) counterparts, single-action actuators exhibit reduced net thrust. Additionally, size and dimensions tend to increase with higher supplied air pressure and extended stroke requirements.

Double-action actuators, equipped with return springs, present a favorable balance: the full force of air pressure on one side of the piston is effectively counteracted by both a compressed spring and the air pressure on the opposite side of the piston. Consequently, achieving a fail-safe action is straightforward, eliminating the need for complicated and often unreliable pneumatic systems. Furthermore, the net thrust of air pressure is only partially diminished by the opposing spring force, optimizing performance without compromising reliability.

PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING

The 8 bar is not only the benchmark for supply pressure but also the maximum threshold for the sliding seals' integrity. To guarantee unparalleled quality, each actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at an impressive 10.5 bar pressure before delivery. ACTUATOR BODY
Crafted to perfection, the actuator's cylinder originates from a precision steel tube, showcasing unmatched craftsmanship.
The interior surface is meticulously lapped, adorned with chromium plating, and polished to a flawless finish.
The actuator heads, available in aluminum or steel, offer versatility in design, providing various configurations to cater to diverse assembly requirements, whether for valve operations or

pivoting assemblies. For instance, upper or lower head forks make it ideal for actuating butterfly valves,
or opt for a flange design when robust assembly on valve yokes is essential, such as for globe or angle valve actuation.

PISTON
Engineered from high-strength steel, the piston is equipped with either single or dual rubber sealing rings (S.A. or D.A.) alongside loaded-Teflon guiding skids, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

STEM
The actuator stem emerges from a stainless steel rod, expertly machined, ground, rolled, and threaded for durability. It seamlessly connects to the valve stem via a precision two-piece, bored and threaded block, ensuring a secure fit between the two stems.
Guidance is afforded by a robust double bronze bushing located in the lower head, which also houses a felt ring for stem cleaning and a sealing ring, except in S.A. direct-acting actuators, to effectively prevent leakage.
