Figure 1a showcases the intricate workings of our post-control valve pressure regulator, designed specifically for pressure-closed operation. Here's how it functions: The medium enters the valve body following the directional arrow, making its way through the valve seat and spool where a precise throttling process takes place. Concurrently, another path through the pressure tube (incorporating a condenser if the medium is steam) directs the medium to the actuator, where it influences the diaphragm. This interaction causes the spool to displace accordingly, effectively achieving pressure reduction and stabilization. Upon any increase in post-valve pressure, the diaphragm experiences increased force, compressing the spring and adjusting the spool to decrease valve opening until equilibrium at the set pressure is restored. Figure 1b presents the regulator devoted to managing pre-valve pressure, operating under a pressure-open mode. Here's the operational principle: The medium advances into the valve body from the indicated arrow direction, undergoing efficient throttling via the valve seat and spool. Meanwhile, a separate path through the pressure tube (with a condenser when the medium is steam) feeds the medium into the actuator, targeting the diaphragm. This results in a spool shift, enabling precise pressure relief and stabilization. If pre-valve pressure surges, the increased force on the diaphragm compresses the spring, prompting the spool to enhance valve opening until the pressure subsides to the intended level. Conversely, a decline in pre-valve pressure reduces diaphragm force, allowing the spring's reaction to drive spool adjustment, minimizing valve opening until pressure levels ascend to the designated value. Should the pre-valve pressure fall below the desired threshold, the valve defaults to a closed position.
