Actuator Features

 

Figure 1a, showcases an innovative approach to controlling the post-control valve pressure regulator with a pressure-closed operation mode. The sophisticated mechanism operates as follows: the medium gracefully enters the valve body, guided by the arrow, and is meticulously regulated by the valve seat and spool through precision throttling. Additionally, the medium flows through a pressure tube, and when steam is involved, a condenser assists in channeling it into the actuator, prompting a delicate dance on the diaphragm. This interaction causes the spool to adjust its position, perfecting the art of pressure reduction and stabilization. As pressure builds beyond the valve, the diaphragm's force magnifies, compressing the spring and commanding the spool to fine-tune the valve's aperture, restoring equilibrium to the desired pressure level. Conversely, a drop in pressure behind the valve lessens the diaphragm's force, allowing the spring's gentle push to guide the spool to expand the valve's opening, reclaiming the set pressure harmony.

 

Figure 1b, portrays a regulator designed to masterfully control the pressure before the valve with a pressure-open operation mode. The operation unfolds with the medium seamlessly entering the valve body from the arrow-indicated direction, undergoing precision throttling by the valve seat and spool. Simultaneously, a pressure tube channels the medium-augmented by a condenser when steam is present-into the actuator, orchestrating a harmonious interaction with the diaphragm. This dynamic causes the spool to gracefully shift, achieving seamless pressure relief and stabilization. When pressure intensifies before the valve, the diaphragm's force grows, compressing the spring and gently urging the spool to widen the valve's aperture, ensuring a return to the desired pressure level.
