When compared to membrane-type actuators of equivalent specifications, these actuators provide superior thrust. Their straightforward structure, lightweight build, and compact dimensions mark them as an epitome of high-performance pneumatic actuators in the industry.

Versatile and efficient, the 1-X400 series pneumatic actuators offer both double-acting and single-acting configurations. Seamlessly merging with linear stroke valves, they adeptly handle both regulation and on-off control. When paired with essential accessories such as pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic actuators, they ensure rapid precision cutoffs, achieving times as swift as 1S, 2S, 3S and 4S, as well as other customizable cutoff levels.</sup>

Single-action (S.A.) actuators are engineered with a spring-opposed piston activated by air pressure, providing the benefit of an effortless fail-safe action. In the event of air pressure failure, the compressed spring load triumphs over the pressure load, moving the stem to open or close the valve port according to the predetermined fail-safe action. These actuators are renowned for maintaining exceptional stability even when the load on the plug experiences variations.

 

 

 

In contrast, double-action (D.A.) actuators, while offering enhanced features, deliver lower net thrusts and experience a notable increase in dimensions, especially as supplied air pressure and required stroke increase.

Double-action actuators with a return spring present a harmonious balance: the full thrust exerted by air pressure on one side of the piston is counterbalanced partly by a compressed spring and partly by the air pressure on the opposite side of the piston. This configuration ensures a reliable fail-safe action without the need for complex and often unreliable pneumatic systems. Additionally, the net thrust from air pressure is only marginally diminished by the spring's counterforce, offering an optimal performance balance.

STEM
Precision-crafted from stainless steel, the stem undergoes meticulous machining, grinding, and threading, with its exterior finish ensuring superior performance. The actuator stem connects flawlessly to the valve stem through a robust, two-piece, bored and threaded block. This ensures a secure clamping of the screwed ends for ultimate reliability.
Expertly guided by a double bronze bushing within the lower head, the stem incorporates a felt ring to effectively wipe and a sealing ring, providing maximum protection against leakage, except in S.A. direct-acting actuators. Experience peace of mind with our secure design.
