DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
This sophisticated actuator system boasts an 8 bar pressure rating, signifying both the rated supply pressure of the cylinder and the reliable limit for the tightness of the sliding seals of the piston. To ensure unmatched safety and performance, each actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at an impressive 10.5 bar prior to delivery. ACTUATOR BODY
The cylinder is crafted meticulously from a precision-engineered steel tube.
Its inner surface is expertly lapped, plated with chromium, and polished to a high shine.
The actuator's robust heads are made from high-quality aluminium or steel cast. These heads are available in various shapes, tailored to meet specific assembly requirements for valves or operations.
For instance, they can be equipped with a fork on the upper or lower head to facilitate pivoting assemblies, such as those needed to effectively actuate butterfly valves.
Additionally, they come with a flange designed for stiff, secure assembly on valve yokes, ensuring reliable operation. This configuration is ideal for actuating globe or angle valves.
PISTON
Crafted from high-strength steel, the piston is a marvel of engineering. It features one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) durable rubber sealing rings, complemented by two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) loaded-teflon guiding skids, ensuring smooth operation and longevity.
STEM
Forged from premium stainless steel, the stem is expertly machined, ground, rolled, and threaded at the exposed end. This actuator stem is intricately linked to the valve stem through a meticulously crafted, two-piece bored and threaded block, securely clamping the threaded ends of both stems together.
For optimal guidance, the stem is supported by a dual bronze bushing in the lower head, which also accommodates a felt ring to clean the stem and a sealing ring to ensure no leakage occurs (except for S.A. direct-acting actuators), enhancing the system's integrity.
