About SNT Butterfly Valves


In recent years, With the improvement of industry and the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection policy, the cut-off butterfly valve has been more and more widely used. In the prior technology, the tri-eccentric butterfly valve belongs to torque sealing, and the valve plate is closed more tightly by the torque of the actuator to achieve the sealing effect. However, in some special occasions (such as high temperature catalytic flue gas, gas, sulfur tail gas and other media, the temperature reaches 800°C), due to the existence of thermal expansion stress, the valve will not be able to open, easy to cause serious consequences such as tri-eccentric butterfly valve stuck, affecting industrial production, causing huge economic losses, and even cause safety accidents.


SNT VALVE is specialized in the research of high temperature flue gas device butterfly valve. For the above problems, SNT VALVE proposed to use four-stem eccentric butterfly valve instead of tri-eccentric butterfly valve and aeration butterfly valve as a solution in the industry for the first time, successfully solved the problem for many years, applied for two national patents: a four-stem eccentric butterfly valve (patent No.: ZL201520326489.1 and catalytic device with four-stem eccentric butterfly valve (patent No.: ZL201921719624.3), and commissioned China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation wot conduct product identification with Changzhou University, which was awarded as the domestic leader.

The AOC-4000 series four-link eccentric butterfly valve, designed by SNT, is widely used as a special condition regulating and shut-off valve.
Introducing the state-of-the-art AOC-4000 series four-link eccentric butterfly valve, a revolutionary solution designed to excel in demanding environments characterized by high-temperature, large-diameter, and high-flow scenarios. Crafted for minimal pressure drop and superior sealing capabilities, this valve ensures zero-leakage performance, even under challenging conditions. Its exceptional planar sealing technology prevents jamming at elevated temperatures, offering rapid and precise operation with remarkable reliability. Ideal for managing pipeline media in the production of phthalic and maleic anhydride, this versatile valve also efficiently regulates other gases and liquids, including hydrogen, ammonia, air, smoke, and various gases within pipeline systems. For media susceptible to crystallization, such as sulfur, an innovative jacketed structure is available, safeguarding against potential pipeline blockages due to cooling or condensation during flow, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted operations.

The adaptable AOC-4000 series four-link eccentric butterfly valve is customarily equipped with a high-performance cylinder-type single-acting actuator, delivering superior control and efficiency. However, the design allows for flexibility, offering alternatives such as cylinder-type double-acting actuators, electric actuators, or hydraulic actuators, tailored to meet specific operational demands. This adaptability ensures that the valve's minimum shut-off time is optimized, achieving rapid closure within an impressive range of 2 to 6 seconds, thus enhancing overall system responsiveness and reliability.

Working Principle

The sophisticated operation of the four-link butterfly valve is a marvel of engineering, comprising a drive device, valve plate, valve body, valve shaft, linkage system, and precision-engineered shaft end seals. The drive mechanism propels the valve shaft, seamlessly engaging the four-link system to facilitate the valve's opening and closing actions. As the valve shaft rotates, the valve plate is strategically maneuvered to an open position, aligning perfectly with the pipeline center for maximum flow. Conversely, the reverse rotation effectuates the closure of the valve plate, achieving a secure lock when the plate meets and compresses against the sealing surface of the valve body, ensuring a complete and tight seal when fully closed, thereby maintaining optimal performance and integrity.
