Figure 1a: This sophisticated pressure-closed type regulator precisely controls the post-control valve pressure. The operational principle is brilliantly engineered: the medium enters the valve body guided by the arrow's direction, then passes through the valve seat and spool, undergoing meticulous throttling. Another pathway, utilizing a pressure tube (with steam mediums incorporating a condenser), directs the medium to the actuator, engaging the diaphragm. This mechanism prompts the spool's precise displacement, achieving impeccable pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the post-valve pressure rise, the increased diaphragm force compresses the spring, expertly maneuvering the spool to reduce valve opening, thus normalizing the pressure to the desired set value. Figure 1b: This pressure open type regulator is ingeniously crafted to regulate pre-valve pressure. Its action principle is meticulously designed: the medium flows seamlessly into the valve body, directed by the arrow, and exits through the valve seat and spool after precise throttling. Additionally, the medium traverses a pressure tube (incorporating a condenser when steam is involved) to the actuator, influencing the diaphragm's movement. This innovation causes the spool to shift precisely, ensuring optimal pressure relief and stabilization. An increase in pre-valve pressure enhances diaphragm force, compressing the spring and expertly increasing valve opening until the pressure stabilizes at the desired set value. If pre-valve pressure decreases, the diaphragm's force diminishes, allowing the spring's reactive force to guide the spool in reducing valve opening, restoring pressure to the set level. When pre-valve pressure drops below the set value, the valve remains securely closed.
