Figure 1a: This ingenious mechanism is designed to precisely control the post-control valve pressure with a pressure-closed action mode. Here's how it works: The medium enters the valve body following the directional arrow and is skillfully outputted via the valve seat and spool after a careful throttling process. Simultaneously, another pathway channels the medium through a pressure tube (steam mediums incorporate a condenser) directly into the diaphragm of the actuator. This intelligent setup triggers a synchronized displacement of the spool, meticulously achieving both pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the pressure downstream of the valve increase, the resultant force on the diaphragm intensifies, compressing the spring and propelling the spool to strategically reduce the valve's opening till the desired pressure is met. Conversely, a decrease in downstream pressure weakens the force on the diaphragm. The operational principle is elegantly simple: as the medium flows into the valve body from the arrow-marked direction, it is expertly managed by the valve seat and spool post-throttling. In parallel, another route directs the medium through the pressure tube (steam mediums utilize a condenser) into the diaphragm of the actuator. This orchestrated setup incites precise spool displacement, fulfilling the dual purpose of pressure relief and stabilization. When the pre-valve pressure intensifies, the diaphragm force surges, compressing the spring and facilitating the spool to expand the valve's opening until the pressure decreases to the set threshold. On the flip side, a drop in pre-valve pressure reduces diaphragm force, and the spring's reactive force compels the spool to minimize the valve's opening, effectively raising the pressure to its predetermined value. Should the pre-valve pressure fall below the set benchmark, the valve remains confidently closed.
