Figure 1a: An advanced system tailored for controlling the post-control valve pressure regulator. This remarkable valve operates on a pressure-closed mechanism. Its operational principle is elegantly straightforward: the medium enters the valve body as indicated by the arrow, then passes through the valve seat and spool, undergoing throttling and exiting efficiently. Meanwhile, the pressure tube (and condenser for steam mediums) channels the medium to the actuator, exerting force on the diaphragm. This orchestrates a precise displacement of the spool, achieving seamless pressure reduction and stability. When downstream pressure rises, it amplifies the force on the diaphragm, compressing the spring and modulating the spool to minimize valve opening, restoring pressure to the set threshold. Figure 1b: Expertly engineered to manage pressure preceding the valve, this regulator boasts a pressure-open mode of operation. The medium gracefully enters the valve body, guided by the arrow, proceeds through the valve seat and spool, and undergoes throttling before seamless exit. Simultaneously, the pressure tube (with steam mediums incorporating a condenser) directs the medium to engage the actuator, pressing on the diaphragm and causing a controlled spool displacement. This facilitates precise pressure relief and stabilization. Should upstream pressure heighten, increased diaphragm tension compresses the spring, enlarging the valve's opening to alleviate pressure back to the set level. Conversely, a decline in upstream pressure decreases diaphragm force, the spring's reaction prompting a reduction in valve opening to maintain the desired pressure level. Should upstream pressure fall below the threshold, the valve remains closed to safeguard stability.
