SNT The SNT drain valve is a versatile powerhouse, making significant strides in continuous throttling control applications. The SNT drain valve revolutionizes the internal structure design paradigm by adopting a streamlined flow channel between the valve core and the cylindrical valve seat. This innovative design accelerates fluid flow until it reaches the expanded downstream section, where the pressure drop initiates a rapid fluid expansion towards the flow center. This dynamic process efficiently disperses energy, leading the fluid into a turbulent state. The discharge process is so efficient that it enables the formation of steam when the fluid is supersaturated, simultaneously cooling the remaining liquid-a quintessential demonstration of flash evaporation in liquid flow.

To cater to diverse device requirements, we offer valves with an expansive pressure range from ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500. Our standard stop valve sizes begin at 3/4" (DN20), extending to 1" (DN25), 1.1/2" (DN40), 2" (DN50), 2-1/2" (DN65), and reaching 3" (DN80). The SNT valve is designed in a standard angular connection form, ensuring a smooth and consistent fluid flow. Additionally, the through-way type stop valves are available for varying needs. Our valves can be controlled manually, pneumatically, or electrically, offering precision in throttling control. Based on thorough flow analysis within the unique SNT internal design structure, we utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Fluent-Code to simulate and scrutinize flow channels and pressure drops. To combat abrasion and corrosion from high pressures and flow rates, all SNT internals undergo surface-hardening with premium Co-Ni based alloys or Cr-N ceramic coatings.

As depicted in the figure on the left, and adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping standards, it is observed that intermittent drain valves are predominantly utilized in Zone 2, being installed directly within the boiler or its associated boiler piping. Additionally, there are continuous drain valves, along with traps and safety valves, amongst others.
In alignment with §122.1.4 of ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping standards, the piping is conventionally equipped with two valves in sequence: a Y-type intermittent drain valve, followed by an emergency stop valve.

The intermittent drain valve typically employs a lever-type rapid discharge mechanism, enabling swift opening and closing. When activated, the valve proficiently expels sediment, dirt, and other particulates from the boiler's base in under 3 seconds. If extended, excessive boiler water discharge may occur, leading to significant resource wastage. The flow channel remains nearly linear, akin to a straight pipeline.

The emergency stop valve serves to strictly sever the pipeline, preventing resource wastage should the preceding intermittent drain valve encounter failure.
