Actuator Features

 

Figure 1a illustrates the sophisticated mechanism designed to manage the pressure of the downstream valve using a pressure-closed system. Here's how it works: As the fluid gracefully enters the valve body following the directional arrow, it undergoes a meticulous throttling process via the valve seat and spool. Concurrently, it channels through the pressure tube (condensers are added when the medium is steam) and exerts force on the diaphragm within the actuator. This adept interaction prompts the spool to adjust its position, achieving a harmonious balance of pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the downstream pressure rise, the enhanced force on the diaphragm compresses the spring, triggering the spool to constrict the valve opening, ensuring the pressure realigns to the desired setting. Conversely, a reduction in downstream pressure diminishes the force on the diaphragm, allowing the spring's counteraction to expand the valve opening, ensuring the pressure elevates back to the target level.

 

Figure 1b unveils the intricately designed regulator dedicated to managing the upstream pressure with a pressure-open mechanism. The fluid navigates into the valve body, entering from the arrow-indicated direction and is expertly throttled through the valve seat and spool. Meanwhile, the pressure tube-when dealing with steam, enhanced with condensers-feeds into the actuator, impacting the diaphragm robustly. This dynamic interaction causes the spool to adjust accordingly, achieving pressure relief and stabilization seamlessly. If there is an uptick in upstream pressure, the diaphragm's force intensifies, compressing the spring, prompting the spool to expand the valve opening until equilibrium is restored at the set pressure level. Alternately, a drop in upstream pressure reduces the diaphragm's exertion, and the spring's reactive force narrows the valve opening, reinstating the pressure to the predetermined level meticulously. When the upstream pressure falls beneath the set threshold, the valve remains securely closed, ensuring optimal performance.

Mounting Method

 

For applications involving gas or low viscosity liquid media, the installation of the AOC-3111 model self-operated pressure regulating valve is typically straightforward. It is ideally mounted upright on a horizontal pipe to ensure optimal performance. However, if spatial constraints exist, it can be adjusted to an upside-down or diagonal position. Notably, if the medium is confirmed to be clean, the installation of part 3 may be deemed unnecessary, further simplifying the process.

 

In scenarios where the valve is applied to steam or high viscosity liquid media, the AOC-3111 model self-operated pressure regulating valve should be installed in an inverted position on a horizontal pipe. This orientation is essential to maintain the valve's functional integrity and effectiveness in such challenging conditions.
