Figure 1a showcases a sophisticated pressure regulator crafted to expertly manage the post-control valve pressure. This pressure-closed type valve operates ingeniously: the medium gracefully enters the valve body following the arrow's direction, and after meticulous throttling, it is released through the valve seat and spool. In a parallel pathway, when the medium is steam with a condenser, it courses through the pressure tube into the actuator to exert its influence on the diaphragm. This interaction triggers a precise spool displacement, masterfully achieving both pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the pressure after the valve ascend, the diaphragm's force intensifies, compressing the spring and driving the spool. This process artfully diminishes the valve's opening until the pressure descends to the desired level. Conversely, a pressure drop behind the valve diminishes the force on the diaphragm. Figure 1b presents a dynamic pressure regulator designed for controlling the pressure in front of the valve, employing a pressure open type action. The operation unfolds elegantly as the medium enters the valve body guided by the directional arrow, then emerges through the valve seat and spool post-throttling. Concurrently, when dealing with steam plus a condenser, the medium traverses the pressure tube, impacting the diaphragm in the actuator. This causes a calculated spool displacement, achieving seamless pressure relief and stabilization. When pressure in front of the valve heightens, an amplified force on the diaphragm compresses the spring, leading the spool to augment the valve opening until pressure decreases to the predetermined level. In a reversed scenario, if the pressure dwindles, the diaphragm's force weakens, and the spring's reactive force propels the spool to contract the valve opening, raising the pressure to the intended level. Should the pressure fall below the set threshold, the valve remains securely closed.
