Principle Of Operation

The innovative SNT triple offset butterfly valve is designed to deliver a reliable, bi-directional bubble-tight shut-off. This advanced geometry ensures that the disc seal engages with the body seat solely at the final shut-off position, eliminating any friction or galling. This results in a torque-generated resilient seal, offering exceptional 'wedging' action to guarantee a consistent and uniform seal contact.

The Triple Offset Geometry

Offset 1 - The shaft is strategically offset behind the seat axis, facilitating complete sealing contact across the entire seat circumference.
Offset 2 - The shaft's centerline is precisely offset from both the pipe and valve, ensuring interference-free operation during both opening and closing actions.
Offset 3 - The seat cone axis is ingeniously offset from the shaft centerline, effectively eliminating friction during both the closing and opening processes, thereby achieving a uniform compressive seal around the entire seat perimeter.

Thrust Collar for Stem Protection: Our thrust collar design prevents the accumulation of particles or coking substances in the dead angle between the stem and body, averting stem jamming. When the flow is reversed, it stops the stem from moving due to fluid force, thus preventing significant leakage.
