The SNT drain valve redefines the boundaries of conventional internal structure design. With a seamless flow channel crafted between the valve core and cylindrical valve seat, fluid dynamics are taken to new heights, accelerating fluid flow until it reaches the expanded downstream of the valve seat. This design innovation creates a dramatic pressure drop at the flow channel's center, sparking rapid fluid expansion and the onset of turbulence. Application of Typical Working Conditions
As shown in the figure on the left, according to ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping, intermittent drain valves are crucial for Zone 2 applications, directly integrated into boiler or boiler piping. Additionally, continuous drain valves, traps, and safety valves play vital roles.
According to §122.1.4 of ASME B31.1 Power Boilers and Piping, the piping is customarily equipped with two valves in series: a Y-type intermittent drain valve and an emergency stop valve.
This intermittent drain valve features a lever-type rapid discharge mechanism, enabling swift opening and closing. When engaged, the valve swiftly expels sediment, dirt, and particles from the boiler's base, completing the process in under 3 seconds to prevent the wastage of boiler water. Its flow channel is streamlined, akin to straight piping.
The emergency stop valve ensures a tight seal of the pipeline, safeguarding resources in the event of a malfunction of the preceding intermittent drain valve.
