Principle Of Operation

The SNT triple offset butterfly valve is engineered to deliver a bi-directional, bubble-tight shut-off. Its distinctive geometry ensures the disc seal touches the body seat solely at the final shut-off position, avoiding any rubbing or galling. This design provides a torque-generated resilient seal, enhanced by a precise 'wedging' action that assures uniform seal contact every time.

The Triple Offset Geometry

Offset 1 - Designed ingeniously, the shaft is positioned behind the seat axis. This clever offset allows for complete sealing contact around the entire seat, ensuring a perfect seal with every operation.
Offset 2 - The shaft's centerline is strategically offset from both the pipeline and the valve, facilitating a smooth, interference-free opening and closing motion of the valve.
Offset 3 - By offsetting the seat cone axis from the shaft centerline, friction during the closing and opening process is eliminated. This meticulous design achieves a uniform compressive seal around the entire seat, enhancing the valve's operational efficiency.

Stem and Disk Drive Using Offset of Round Pin: By avoiding the weakening of the stem's strength typically caused by drilling, this design increases the shearing strength of the round pin, significantly boosting both reliability and security.

Design of Stem Sealing: Utilizing high-temperature resistant non-metallic materials, this stem sealing effectively prevents particle-laden fluids from entering the bearing, thereby avoiding locking or jamming issues.

Belleville Springs-Dynamic Loading and Compensation: The innovative packing system employs dynamic loading and compensation with Belleville springs. The packing box hole benefits from rolling and pressing, while the stem processing eradicates packing emission, aligning with the prestigious TA-Luft standard.

Various Sealing Options: Choose from a variety of sealing types, including multi-layer composite seals, multi-layer all-metal seals, and integral all-metal seals, tailored to diverse service conditions. The multi-layer composite seal offers flexibility to enhance the fit between seat and seal rings, achieving ANSI VI leakage class standards.

Thrust Collar: The stem-protecting thrust collar prevents particle or coking substance accumulation in dead angle areas between the stem and body, preventing jamming. Moreover, during reverse flow, it safeguards against rational displacement of the stem due to fluid force, thus mitigating significant leakage risks.
