DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
Our innovatively engineered actuators boast an 8 bar rating, which is the optimal supply pressure for the cylinder and ensures the uncompromised tightness of the piston's sliding seals. To guarantee peak performance, each actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at a pressure of 10.5 bar before it reaches you. The temperature parameters for continuous operation at 8 bar are meticulously detailed in our materials table, ensuring you have all the information for reliable usage.
ACTUATOR BODY
The cylinder is meticulously crafted from a precision steel tube, showcasing our commitment to quality.
The inner surface is expertly lapped, then enhanced with a layer of chromium plating, and polished to perfection for seamless operation.
Our actuator heads, crafted from durable aluminium or steel castings, are thoughtfully designed in a variety of shapes to cater to diverse assembly requirements, whether on valves or for
operating with a fork on either the upper or lower head, ideal for pivoting assemblies such as butterfly valve actuation.
When paired with a flange, they allow for robust assembly on valve yokes, making them perfect for the actuation of globe or angle valves, ensuring versatility and reliability.
PISTON
Crafted from high-strength steel, our piston is equipped with durable sealing rings-one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) rubber rings-and guiding skids made of loaded-teflon-two (S.A.) or one (D.A.)-guaranteeing optimal performance and longevity.
STEM
Our stem, precision-machined from stainless steel, is subjected to grinding, rolling, and threading processes at the exposed end. The actuator stem seamlessly connects to the valve stem via a two-piece, bored, and threaded block, which securely clamps the screwed ends of both stems, ensuring stability.
The stem is precisely guided by a double bronze bushing situated in the lower head, which also houses a felt ring to clean the stem and a sealing ring, except for S.A. direct-acting actuators, to effectively prevent leakage, showcasing our attention to detail.
