Principle Of OperationThe SNT triple offset butterfly valve is an engineering marvel designed to offer superior bi-directional bubble-tight shut-off. This advanced geometry ensures that the disc seal makes contact with the body seat only at the final shut-off position, eliminating any risk of rubbing or galling. The result is a torque-generated resilient seal, strategically 'wedging' to guarantee a uniform seal contact that assures optimal performance and reliability.
The Triple Offset GeometryOffset 1 - Ingeniously designed, the shaft is offset behind the seat axis. This unique configuration facilitates a complete sealing contact around the entire seat, ensuring exceptional sealing effectiveness.
Offset 2 - With precision engineering, the shaft centerline is offset from both the pipe and valve. This design innovation ensures interference-free operation, enabling smooth and efficient opening and closing of the valve.
Offset 3 - The seat cone axis is strategically offset from the shaft centerline. This eliminates friction during both closing and opening, achieving a uniform compressive seal around the entire seat, and ensuring the highest standards of sealing integrity.
Valve Construction
Triple-offset design: Specially crafted for extreme conditions of high temperature and pressure, this design ensures minimal leakage. The valve operates with non-friction and low torque, enhancing sealing efficiency as fluid force increases.
Seat ring and body integral structure: The sealing face is enhanced with a high-strength alloy, ensuring exceptional reliability.
The durability of the sealing face is maximized, resulting in an extended service life, with maintenance requirements nearly eliminated.
Anti-blowout stepped seal: Guarantees safety while the integral stem, made from high-strength material, boosts allowable pressure drops.
Stem and disk drive with round pin offset: This method prevents strength reduction from drilling and enhances the round pin's shearing strength, ensuring reliability and safety.
Stem sealing design: Made from high-temperature resistant non-metallic material, it safeguards against particle entry into the bearing, preventing lock or jam.
Belleville springs - dynamic loading and compensation: The packing system, enhanced by dynamic loading and Belleville springs, features a precisely rolled packing box hole and processed stem, eliminating emissions to meet the TA-Luft standard.
Diverse sealing options: Includes multi-layer composite, multi-layer all-metal, and integral all-metal seals. These choices are tailored to different service conditions. Multi-layer composite seals offer flexibility and optimal fitting between seat and sea rings, meeting ANSI VI leakage specifications.
Thrust collar protection: Prevents dead angle particle or coking substance accumulation between stem and body, avoiding stem jamming. In reverse flow, it prevents stem displacement due to fluid force, minimizing large leaks.
