The operation unfolds as follows: the medium gracefully enters the valve body as directed by the arrow, subsequently flowing through the valve seat and spool after precise throttling. Additionally, via a pressure tube (with steam, a condenser is added), the medium engages the actuator diaphragm. This interaction prompts the spool to undergo a precise displacement, achieving seamless pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the post-valve pressure rise, the diaphragm's force intensifies, compressing the spring and adjusting the spool to reduce valve opening until equilibrium is restored at the set pressure. Figure 1b illustrates the regulation of pre-valve pressure with a pressure-open operation mode. The process is as follows: the medium enters the valve body from the arrow-indicated direction and exits via the valve seat and spool after precise throttling. Moreover, through the pressure tube (when involving steam, a condenser is included), the medium influences the actuator diaphragm, triggering a strategic spool displacement for effective pressure relief and stabilization. When pre-valve pressure ascends, the diaphragm withstands increased force, compressing the spring, while the spool adjusts to widen the valve opening, thus lowering the pressure back to the designated value. Conversely, if pre-valve pressure declines, the force on the diaphragm reduces, and the spring's reactive force adjusts the spool to narrow the valve opening, restoring pressure to the set level. Notably, should pre-valve pressure fall below the set value, the valve remains perpetually closed.
