Principle Of Operation

SNT's triple offset butterfly valve is engineered to deliver flawless bi-directional bubble tight shut-off. With a unique geometry, our design ensures that the disc seal only makes contact with the body seat at the final shut-off position, eliminating any risk of rubbing or galling. This advanced mechanism generates a torque-induced resilient seal, augmented by a 'wedging' action, guaranteeing consistent and uniform seal contact for peak performance.

The Triple Offset Geometry

Offset 1 - Ingeniously designed, the shaft is positioned behind the seat axis, facilitating complete sealing contact around the entire seat, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability.
Offset 2 - With the centerline of the shaft strategically offset from both the pipe and the valve, this design ensures interference-free opening and closing, enhancing operational smoothness and precision.
Offset 3 - The seat cone's axis is offset from the shaft centerline, expertly eliminating friction during operation. This ensures seamless closing and opening, while achieving a uniform compressive seal across the entire seat, elevating the valve's efficacy and longevity.
