Figure 1a illustrates an innovative approach to regulating post-control valve pressure with precision. This pressure-closed valve system operates by allowing the medium to gracefully flow into the valve body, as directed by the arrow, and then be dispensed through the valve seat and spool with finesse. The alternative route, via the pressure tube - particularly when dealing with steam plus a condenser - introduces the medium into the actuator, engaging the diaphragm. As a result, the spool adjusts its position to seamlessly achieve pressure reduction and stabilization. When the downstream pressure rises, the diaphragm's force intensifies, compressing the spring and driving the spool to decrease the valve opening until equilibrium is restored to the predetermined setting. Conversely, should the downstream pressure drop, the diaphragm's force diminishes, allowing the spring's responsive force to guide the spool, increasing the valve opening until the set pressure level is reinstated.Self-Operated Pressure Regulator for Advanced Control Valve Systems
 



Figure 1b showcases a sophisticated pressure regulation mechanism focused on controlling the pressure ahead of the valve, characterized by a pressure-open action mode. The medium enters the valve body in the direction indicated by the arrow, subsequently facilitated through the valve seat and spool after throttling. An alternative path via the pressure tube - particularly applicable when employing steam plus a condenser - channels the medium to the actuator, engaging the diaphragm. This engagement prompts the spool to adjust its position, achieving the dual objectives of pressure relief and stabilization. Should the upstream pressure rise, the force on the diaphragm escalates, compressing the spring and prompting the spool to increase the valve opening until equilibrium is achieved at the set pressure level. Conversely, if the upstream pressure declines, the force on the diaphragm lessens, allowing the spring's reactive force to guide the spool in reducing the valve opening until the set pressure level is recovered. Remarkably, if the upstream pressure falls below the set threshold, the valve remains steadfastly closed.

For gas or low viscosity liquid environments, the AOC-3111 Self-Operated Pressure Regulating Valve is optimally installed in an upright position on a horizontal pipe. Should spatial constraints be present, it may be mounted upside down or diagonally. If the medium is verified to be clean, the installation of part 3 can be optionally omitted for enhanced convenience.
