Actuator Features

Figure 1a showcases the sophisticated design used to masterfully control the post-control valve pressure regulator. This advanced mechanism operates in a pressure-closed mode. Here's how it works: the medium seamlessly enters the valve body, following the arrow's direction. After a meticulous throttling process through the valve seat and spool, the medium then journeys via the pressure tube (with a condenser for steam mediums) into the actuator, engaging the diaphragm. This interaction prompts the spool to shift accordingly, achieving precision in pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the pressure beyond the valve exceed optimal levels, the diaphragm experiences increased force, compressing the spring and guiding the spool to reduce valve opening until harmony is restored at the set pressure. Figure 1b illustrates a regulator crafted for optimal control of pressure before the valve, operating in a pressure-open mode. This design allows the medium to enter the valve body fluidly, following the arrow's guidance, and then be throttled through the valve seat and spool. Meanwhile, a separate path through the pressure tube (paired with a condenser when steam is the medium) channels into the actuator, activating the diaphragm. This dynamic interaction causes the spool to move, achieving effective pressure relief and stabilization. When pressure before the valve surges, the diaphragm feels intensified force, compressing the spring and expanding the valve opening until pressure subsides to the set level. If the pressure dwindles, the diaphragm's force reduces, prompting the spring's reactive force to drive the spool, thus narrowing the valve opening until the desired pressure level is achieved. Notably, when pre-valve pressure falls below the target, the valve remains closed, ensuring stability.
