The 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators are engineered with precision, utilizing finely-crafted cold-drawn hydraulic pipes as cylinder bodies. Through advanced honing and extrusion techniques, the wear on dynamic sealing elements is remarkably minimized, significantly boosting the actuator's durability. Compared to membrane-type linear stroke actuators of similar specifications, our actuators deliver superior thrust. Featuring a straightforward structure, lightweight design, and a compact form, they embody a high-performance pneumatic linear stroke solution.
The 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators are available in versatile configurations: both double-acting and single-acting models. When paired with linear stroke valves, they are perfectly suited for regulation or on-off control. With added accessories such as pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic actuators, they ensure rapid cutoffs, achieving impressive cutoff times of 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S, offering varied levels for distinct applications.
DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
Our state-of-the-art pneumatic piston actuator is engineered to operate optimally at a rated supply pressure of 8 bar. This pressure not only ensures the efficient functioning of the cylinder but also guarantees the tightness of the sliding seals of the piston. To ensure top-notch reliability, each actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at 10.5 bar prior to delivery. Continuous service temperature limits at 8 bar are meticulously outlined in the accompanying materials table.
ACTUATOR BODY
The actuator's cylinder is meticulously crafted from precision steel tubing, offering unmatched durability.
The interior surface is expertly lapped, chromium-plated, and polished to perfection.
The two robust heads are available in aluminium or steel castings, offering a variety of shapes tailored to meet the specific assembly requirements on valves, whether for
operation with a fork on the upper or lower head, ideal for pivoting assemblies such as actuating butterfly valves,
or with a securely assembled flange on valve yokes, perfect for actuating globe or angle valves.
PISTON
Constructed from high-strength steel, the piston is equipped with either one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) high-quality rubber sealing rings, complemented by two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) enhanced Teflon guiding skids for superior performance.
STEM
The stem is expertly machined from a stainless steel rod that is ground, rolled, and precisely threaded at the end extending outside the cylinder. A two-piece, bored and threaded block securely connects the actuator stem to the valve stem by clamping both ends together.
A double bronze bushing guides the stem within the lower head, which also houses a felt ring for stem wiping, and a sealing ring (except in S.A. direct-acting actuators) to effectively prevent leakage.
