Principle Of Operation

SNT triple offset butterfly valve delivers unparalleled bi-directional bubble tight shut-off. The unique geometry is crafted to ensure the disc seal engages with the body seat only at the ultimate shut-off position. This contact occurs without any rubbing or galling, resulting in a torque-generated resilient seal. The design incorporates adequate "wedging" to guarantee consistent and uniform seal contact each and every time.

The Triple Offset Geometry

Offset 1 - Ingeniously designed, the shaft is positioned behind the seat axis. This strategic placement allows for full sealing contact around the seat's entirety, ensuring unmatched sealing efficiency.
Offset 2 - Thoughtfully offset from the pipe and valve, the shaft's centerline facilitates interference-free opening and closing of the valve, enhancing performance and reliability.
Offset 3 - The seat cone axis is smartly offset from the shaft centerline, effectively eliminating friction during the valve's closing and opening operations. This precision engineering achieves a uniform compressive seal around the entire seat, optimizing the valve's efficiency.
