This advanced engineering, in combination with state-of-the-art honing and extrusion processes, drastically reduces the wear and tear of dynamic sealing elements, thereby remarkably enhancing the actuator's longevity. When compared to membrane-type actuators of equivalent specifications, this model delivers superior thrust. Its simple yet sophisticated structure, lightweight yet robust design, and compact yet powerful form make it an outstanding choice in high-performance pneumatic linear stroke actuators.
Our versatile 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators come in both double-acting and single-acting variations. They perfectly pair with linear stroke valves for precise regulation or swift on-off control. Enhanced with a suite of sophisticated accessories such as pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic actuators, these marvels enable rapid cutoffs, boasting impressive cutoff times at 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S among various other levels.
DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
Our state-of-the-art actuator is designed to withstand an impressive 8 bar, the rated supply pressure of the cylinder, ensuring the tightness of the sliding seals of the piston. For your peace of mind, each actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at a formidable 10.5 bar before it is delivered to you. The continuous service temperature limits at 8 bar are provided in our detailed table of materials.
ACTUATOR BODY
The cylinder is meticulously crafted from a high-precision steel tube, ensuring durability and reliability.
The interior surface is expertly lapped, then chromium-plated, and polished to perfection.
Both heads are available in either aluminum or steel cast, offering versatility with various shapes to seamlessly accommodate assembly requirements on valves or
operation with a pivot-ready fork on the upper or lower head, ideal for actuating butterfly valves.
For globe or angle valve actuation, they come equipped with a robust flange for firm assembly on valve yokes.
PISTON
Crafted from high-strength steel, the piston is equipped with either one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) durable rubber sealing rings, alongside two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) loaded-Teflon guiding skids, ensuring reliable performance.
STEM
The stem, a masterpiece of precision, is machined from a solid stainless steel rod, ground, rolled, and threaded at the exposed end. It is seamlessly connected to the valve stem using a two-piece, bored and threaded block that securely clamps the threaded ends of the two stems together.
The stem is expertly guided by a dual bronze bushing embedded in the lower head, which also includes a felt ring for stem wiping and a sealing ring to prevent leakage, except in S.A. direct-acting actuators.
