Figure 1a: This remarkable pressure-closed valve regulator is designed to impeccably manage post-control valve pressure. Here's how it works: the medium enters the valve body, flowing along the arrow's path. It then undergoes precise throttling, flowing out through the valve seat and spool. Meanwhile, an alternate path via the pressure tube (when handling steam, including a condenser) guides the medium into the actuator, influencing the diaphragm. This interaction results in the spool making a precise displacement, achieving desired pressure reduction and stabilization. When the valve's downstream pressure escalates, the diaphragm's force intensifies, compressing the spring and urging the spool to minimize the valve opening until it returns to its set pressure level. Figure 1b: This advanced regulator is adept at controlling the upstream pressure with a pressure-open valve action mode. The operational process is as follows: the medium navigates into the valve body following the arrow's direction, then exits post-throttling through the valve seat and spool. A secondary route via the pressure tube (applicable when the medium is steam with an added condenser) introduces the medium into the actuator, affecting the diaphragm. This interaction prompts the spool's displacement, ensuring efficient pressure relief and stabilization. Should the upstream pressure escalate, the diaphragm's force heightens, compressing the spring, thus enlarging the valve's opening until the pressure subsides to the desired set level. Should the upstream pressure diminish, the diaphragm's force slackens, and the spring's reaction propels the spool to restrict the valve opening, reinstating the pressure to its set level. If the upstream pressure falls below the set threshold, the valve remains securely closed.
