Principle Of Operation

The SNT triple offset butterfly valve is engineered to deliver exceptional performance, offering a bi-directional, bubble-tight shut-off. Thanks to its ingenious design, this unique geometry ensures that the disc seal comes into contact with the body seat solely at the final shut-off position. This innovative approach prevents any rubbing or galling, thus providing a torque-generated, resilient seal. The clever 'wedging' mechanism guarantees a consistent and uniform seal contact, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability.

The Triple Offset Geometry

Offset 1 - Ingeniously designed, the shaft is positioned behind the seat axis, enabling complete and thorough sealing contact around the entire seat, enhancing the integrity and performance of the valve.
Offset 2 - The shaft centerline's strategic offset from the pipe and valve allows for interference-free operation, ensuring smooth and efficient opening and closing of the valve.
Offset 3 - By offsetting the seat cone axis from the shaft centerline, friction is virtually eliminated during both closing and opening. This ensures a uniform, compressive seal around the entire seat, promoting long-lasting durability and reliability.
