When compared to membrane-type actuators of similar specifications, the 1-X400 series stands out with its superior thrust capabilities. With a streamlined structure, lightweight form, and compact dimensions, this high-performance actuator sets a new standard in pneumatic linear stroke technology.
The versatile 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators are offered in both double-acting and single-acting models. When paired with linear stroke valves, they excel in regulation and on-off control. Enhanced with a suite of accessories including pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic actuators, these devices ensure rapid and precise cutoffs. Experience swift response times with cutoff durations available at 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S among other configurations.

PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
In the realm of robust performance, 8 bar serves as both the rated supply pressure and the threshold for maintaining the seal integrity of our sliding piston seals. Yet, our commitment to quality ensures that every actuator undergoes rigorous hydrostatic testing at 10.5 bar prior to delivery. A testament to durability, the temperature limits for ongoing operations at an 8-bar pressure can be found in the materials table, offering you assured reliability.
ACTUATOR BODY
Crafted with precision, our actuator cylinder originates from a meticulously engineered steel tube.
The interior surface boasts a lapped, chromium-plated, and polished finish for superior durability.
The dual end caps, made from aluminum or steel cast, are available in multiple configurations to satisfy specific assembly requirements on valves or
for operation, with various connection options, including a fork on the top or bottom for pivot assemblies-ideal for actuating butterfly valves.
Featuring a flange for sturdy coupling on valve yokes, this design is perfect for activating globe or angle valves, providing versatile application possibilities.
PISTON
Our pistons are crafted from high-strength steel, equipped with one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) rubber sealing rings, and two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) loaded-Teflon guiding skid for enhanced performance.
STEM
Expertly machined from stainless steel, the stem is ground, rolled, and threaded at the exposed end. The actuator stem seamlessly connects to the valve stem via a two-piece, bored and threaded block, securing the screw ends of both stems.
The stem is stabilized by a double bronze bushing in the lower head, which also hosts a felt ring to clean the stem alongside a sealing ring (excluding S.A. direct-acting actuators), effectively preventing leakage.
