Actuator Features
Figure 1a showcases a state-of-the-art mechanism designed to govern the pressure within the post-control valve system. This innovative valve operates on a pressure-closed principle. The process begins as the medium gracefully flows into the valve body following the arrow's guidance, where it undergoes ingenious throttling by the valve seat and spool. Meanwhile, an alternate path via the pressure tube, particularly when dealing with steam and condenser mediums, channels into the actuator, dynamically acting upon the diaphragm. This orchestrated interaction prompts the spool to transition, achieving a harmonious balance of pressure reduction and stabilization. Should the pressure post-valve surge, the diaphragm's force intensifies, subsequently compressing the spring, driving the spool to fine-tune the valve opening, ultimately restoring the pressure to its desired level. Conversely, if the post-valve pressure wanes, the diaphragm's force diminishes, enabling the spring's reactive force to guide the spool, enhancing the valve opening until the pressure reattains equilibrium.
Figure 1b unveils a sophisticated pressure regulator, masterfully engineered to manage pre-valve pressure with a pressure open-type functionality. As the medium enters the valve body following the arrow's directive, it is meticulously throttled by the valve seat and spool, setting the stage for pressure relief and stabilization. An additional route via the pressure tube, especially applicable to steam with a condenser, feeds into the actuator to influence the diaphragm dynamically. This interaction incites the spool's strategic displacement, fulfilling the dual purpose of pressure alleviation and stabilization. In instances where the pre-valve pressure escalates, the diaphragm's force amplifies, compressing the spring, thereby expanding the valve's aperture until the pressure aligns with the set parameter. Conversely, if the pre-valve pressure diminishes, the diaphragm's influence wanes, allowing the spring's reflex to modulate the spool, reducing the valve opening until the pressure meets the set standard.
