The 1-X400 series linear stroke piston-type pneumatic actuators are crafted with precision, utilizing cold-drawn hydraulic pipes as cylinder bodies. Enhanced through meticulous honing and extrusion processes, these actuators significantly minimize wear on dynamic sealing elements, leading to an impressive boost in durability. Compared to traditional membrane-type actuators of similar specifications, they deliver a more substantial thrust. With their elegantly simple structure, lightweight design, and compact form, these actuators offer a high-performance solution for pneumatic linear stroke applications.
Available in both double-acting and single-acting configurations, the versatile 1-X400 series piston-type pneumatic actuators are ideal for both regulation and on-off control when paired with linear stroke valves. Equipped with a range of high-quality accessories like pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic actuators, they ensure rapid and efficient cutoffs with impressive response times of 1S, 2S, 3S, and 4S, among other levels, providing flexible solutions for various operational needs.
DESIGN DETAILS
PRESSURE/TEMPERATURE RATING
Our pneumatic piston actuators are engineered for excellence, withstanding up to 8 bar as the rated supply pressure for the cylinder, while ensuring the utmost seal integrity for the sliding piston seals. Before dispatch, all actuators are subjected to rigorous hydrostatic testing at an impressive 10.5 bar to guarantee reliability. Continuous 8 bar operation is seamlessly supported within the temperature limits indicated in the material specifications table.
ACTUATOR BODY
The cylinder is crafted from a precision-engineered steel tube, ensuring optimal performance and durability.
The inner surface is meticulously lapped, chromium-plated, and polished to perfection, enhancing the actuator's reliability.
The dual heads, meticulously cast from either aluminum or steel, are offered in various configurations. These configurations are designed to seamlessly accommodate valve assembly requirements.
They can also be equipped with a fork on the upper or lower head to facilitate pivoting assemblies, making them ideal
for butterfly valve actuation. Additionally, a flange option is available for robust assembly on valve yokes suitable for actuating globe or angle valves.
PISTON
The piston, constructed from high-strength steel, is available with one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) resilient rubber sealing rings, complemented by two (S.A.) or one (D.A.) durable loaded-Teflon guiding skid, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
STEM
Machined from robust stainless steel, the stem is precisely ground, rolled, and threaded at the exposed end. It connects seamlessly to the valve stem using a sophisticated two-piece, bored, and threaded block, which securely clutches the screwed stem ends.
Guided by a double bronze bushing in the lower head, the stem is equipped with a felt ring for wiping, coupled with a sealing ring, except for S.A. direct-acting actuators, to effectively prevent leakage.
