Versatility defines the 1-X400 series, which comes in both double-acting and single-acting configurations. Seamlessly compatible with linear stroke valves, these actuators are perfect for precise regulation or swift on-off control. With the incorporation of accessories such as pneumatic control valves, quick exhaust valves, and pneumatic actuators, they enable rapid cut-offs, achieving cutoff times of 1S, 2S, 3S and 4S, offering unparalleled operational efficiency.</sup>

Single-action (S.A.) actuators are engineered with a spring-opposed piston activated by air pressure. They provide a straightforward fail-safe action, ensuring reliability. When air pressure is compromised, the compressed spring force effortlessly surpasses the pressure load, directing the stem to open or to close the valve port based on the necessary fail-safe action, maintaining remarkable stability even when fluctuations occur in the load on the plug.

 

 

 

Conversely, when compared to double-action (D.A.) actuators, single-action actuators exhibit reduced net thrust. However, the dimensions increase progressively with higher supplied air pressure and required stroke.

Double-action actuators equipped with a return spring present an optimal compromise: the full thrust of air pressure on one side of the piston is counterbalanced partially by a compressed spring and partially by the air pressure on the opposite side of the piston. This configuration ensures a fail-safe action without the necessity for complex and less reliable pneumatic systems, and furthermore, the net thrust of air pressure is only minimally diminished by the spring's counter thrust.

ACTUATOR BODY
Crafted from high-grade precision steel tubes, the cylinder embodies robust engineering.
The internal surface, intricately lapped, receives a chromium-plated polish to ensure superior performance.
End caps are fashioned from premium aluminum or steel casts, available in diverse configurations to suit valve assembly requirements or operations.

Equipped with a versatile fork on either head, designed for pivoting assemblies to activate butterfly valves,
or featuring a flange for secure attachment on valve yokes, ideal for actuating globe or angle valves with precision.

PISTON
Our piston boasts high-strength steel construction, featuring one (S.A.) or two (D.A.) robust rubber sealing rings and a meticulously designed guiding skid with loaded-teflon for superior durability.

STEM
The stem, crafted from stainless steel, undergoes precision machining, grinding, rolling, and threading for unparalleled quality. It seamlessly connects to the valve stem via a two-piece, bored and threaded block, ensuring a stable, reliable link.
The stem is expertly guided by a dual bronze bushing in the lower head, incorporating a felt ring for cleaning the stem, along with a sealing ring (except for S.A. direct-acting actuators), engineered to prevent leakage.
