The AOC-3000 is available in three distinct valve configurations to suit diverse process conditions: - AOC-3111: A single-seated self-acting pressure regulating valve, - AOC-3113: A sleeve self-acting pressure regulating valve, - AOC-3114: A double-seated self-acting pressure regulating valve. This versatility empowers users to select the optimal model based on specific operational conditions such as differential pressure, temperature, medium state, and leakage criteria. Additionally, the AOC-3000 is offered with three different actuator types tailored to various process requirements: - Diaphragm (available in both normal and reinforced versions), - Piston, - Metal diaphragm (bellows). Actuator Features

 

Figure 1a illustrates the pressure-control valve's post-regulation mechanism, operating in a pressure-closed configuration. Here's how it works: As the medium travels into the valve body, following the direction indicated by the arrow, it undergoes a masterful journey through the valve seat and spool after precise throttling. Concurrently, the medium is expertly routed through the pressure tube-especially when steam is involved with a condenser-into the actuator, impacting the diaphragm. This ingenious setup prompts the spool to make appropriate displacements, achieving the dual objectives of pressure reduction and stabilization. In scenarios where post-valve pressure rises, the diaphragm experiences increased force, which compresses the spring and propels the spool, narrowing the valve opening until the desired pressure equilibrium is restored. Conversely, when the post-valve pressure diminishes, the diaphragm's force lessens, but the spring's reactive force steers the spool to widen the valve opening, maintaining the pressure at its pre-set standard.

 

Figure 1b showcases the regulator's prowess in managing pre-valve pressure, designed with a pressure-open mechanism. The process unfolds as follows: The medium flows into the valve body along the path specified by the arrow, then emerges through the valve seat and spool after a meticulous throttling procedure. Meanwhile, the pressure tube-particularly when handling steam paired with a condenser-efficiently channels the medium into the actuator to exert influence on the diaphragm. This results in strategic spool displacement, achieving pressure relief and stabilization. If pre-valve pressure escalates, the diaphragm force intensifies, compressing the spring and prompting the spool to expand the valve opening until the pressure subsides to its set threshold. Conversely, should the pre-valve pressure drop, the diaphragm force diminishes, and the spring's counteraction propels the spool to constrict the valve opening until the pressure is restored to the set level. If the pressure falls below the set point, the valve remains securely closed, ensuring optimal control.

Mounting Method

 

For optimal performance when utilizing gas or media with low viscosity liquid, the AOC-3111 Self-Operated Pressure Regulating Valve should be expertly installed in an upright position on a horizontal pipe. In situations where spatial constraints are a concern, a diagonal or upside-down installation may be considered. Important note: If the medium is confirmed to be pristine and clean, the installation of part 3 can be happily omitted.

 

In the case of steam or media with high viscosity liquids, the AOC-3111 Self-Operated Pressure Regulating Valve should be artfully positioned upside down on a horizontal pipe. This method ensures reliable performance and seamless operation.
