Here's how it works: As the medium travels into the valve body, following the direction indicated by the arrow, it undergoes a masterful journey through the valve seat and spool after precise throttling. Concurrently, the medium is expertly routed through the pressure tube-especially when steam is involved with a condenser-into the actuator, impacting the diaphragm. This ingenious setup prompts the spool to make appropriate displacements, achieving the dual objectives of pressure reduction and stabilization. In scenarios where post-valve pressure rises, the diaphragm experiences increased force, which compresses the spring and propels the spool, narrowing the valve opening until the desired pressure equilibrium is restored. Figure 1b showcases the regulator's prowess in managing pre-valve pressure, designed with a pressure-open mechanism. The process unfolds as follows: The medium flows into the valve body along the path specified by the arrow, then emerges through the valve seat and spool after a meticulous throttling procedure. Meanwhile, the pressure tube-particularly when handling steam paired with a condenser-efficiently channels the medium into the actuator to exert influence on the diaphragm. This results in strategic spool displacement, achieving pressure relief and stabilization. If pre-valve pressure escalates, the diaphragm force intensifies, compressing the spring and prompting the spool to expand the valve opening until the pressure subsides to its set threshold. Conversely, should the pre-valve pressure drop, the diaphragm force diminishes, and the spring's counteraction propels the spool to constrict the valve opening until the pressure is restored to the set level. If the pressure falls below the set point, the valve remains securely closed, ensuring optimal control.
