Actuator Features

Figure 1a illustrates the operation of a sophisticated post-control valve pressure regulator, which is engineered for pressure-closed applications. In essence, the medium enters the valve body as indicated by the arrow, progressing through the valve seat and spool, effectively throttling as it proceeds. Concurrently, when dealing with steam mediums combined with a condenser, an additional flow path through the pressure tube is channeled into the actuator, exerting force on the diaphragm. This dynamic interaction causes the spool to adjust its position accordingly, thereby achieving seamless pressure reduction and stabilization. As the downstream pressure rises, the diaphragm experiences increased force, compressing the spring and propelling the spool to minimize valve opening, thus maintaining pressure within desired thresholds. Here, the medium enters the valve body, navigates the valve seat and spool, and undergoes effective throttling, all as demarcated by the directional arrow. When incorporating steam mediums with a condenser, an alternative pathway via the pressure tube directs the medium to the actuator, impacting the diaphragm.
